Fr. Croiset's Definition of Tepidity

We have seen how Fr. Croiset lists "tepidity" as one of the obstacles to devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Here is Fr. Croiset's definition of tepidity:

"A tepid soul is in a state of blindness caused by the passions which tyrannize over it, by the continual dissipation in which it lives, by the multitude of venial sins which it commits and by the withdrawal of the graces of Heaven brought on it by its own resistance."
