Religious freedom under fire

Obama's HHS director (a Catholic, naturally) says administration is "at war" with those who oppose abortion.  Meanwhile, in a case before the Supreme Court involving dismissal of a teacher from a Lutheran school, Obama's Solicitor General states that government does not have "a sufficient interest" in opposing all male priesthood.  This implies that the government has the authority to oppose an all male priesthood; it simply, as of now, elects not to do so.   Thus, to the Obamicists, the First Amendment, notwithstanding its guarantee of free exercise of religion, is no barrier to government action against religion.   Even action as seemingly unthinkable as deciding who is eligible for priesthood.   All that is required, in the administation's view, is for government to determine "a sufficient interest" is at stake.   Which amounts to free exercise of religion at the sufferance of the party in office.  We'll see if the Supreme Court agrees

No wonder Bishop Aquila is predicting worse things to come
