It reminds me of music from the TV show "Combat"

John Adams has seen the future and the dawn is colored blue.
So is everything else.

Right now on WQXR the Seattle Symphony is playing the winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for music.  If you are like me, you didn't know this prize even existed.  The piece is by John Adams, and it's called "Become Ocean."  Adams says the piece was inspired by climate change, which Adams says is "... perhaps the central defining issue of this moment in our history as a species."  Which seems to imply that in the next moment of our history as a species the defining issue may well be something else.   Some may recall the moment in our history as a species when the central defining issue was eating enough oat bran.  I, for one, am eager for the next moment of our history as a species to arrive, so that Mr. Adams, and other composers, may be inspired by something else, since you may take it from me that climate change music leaves the ears entirely untickled.
