The diocese of Orange has offered $50 million for Robert Schuller's "Crystal Cathedral." The diocese needs a cathedral and Bishop Tod Brown intends to use the Crystal Cathedral for that purpose. Why would Bishop Brown want such an ugly cathedral? Thomas Peters offers an answer here.
